Fuel Systems

The internal combustion engine has often been compared to an air pump: the more air that flows through it, the more power it makes. However, you need a proportionate amount of fuel to mix with that air to make horsepower. We can help you get more air into your engine with a cold air intake, and more exhaust out with a performance exhaust system, but to increase fuel flow look right here because we have everything you need from tank to intake ports.

Fuel Additives

Fuel Caps

The fuel caps are an integral part of the fuel system in your vehicle. You might think that the fuel cap’s only job is to cover the fuel filler neck, but it does more than that. The fuel cap prevents the evaporation of flammable vapors as you drive or park the vehicle. A broken, loose, or faulty fuel cap might cause a check engine light in the console since the lack of pressure in the tank will cause issues with the evaporative emissions system. Faulty fuel caps might also clog the fuel filters, injectors, and fuel lines since dust and dirt can easily enter the fuel tank. Fuel caps are relatively inexpensive. You can even save more if you check out our inventory only here at Sam’s Motorsports.

Fuel Filters

Fuel Filters help to protect the most expensive parts of the engine by filtering out foreign particles that can damage a fuel injector. A damaged fuel filter can result in erratic performance, poor gas mileage and in some cases, complete engine shutdown. Even the smallest particles can cause considerable wear and tear to an engine. Protecting the fuel system and the engine from harmful particles, helps to prolong the life of your vehicle.

Fuel Injectors & Rails

Diagnosing a bad or faulty fuel injector can get a bit tricky. Since the fuel injector and rails are responsible for spraying pressurized fuel in the combustion chamber, the symptoms of a bad fuel injector will be the same as when diagnosing faulty ignition coils, worn out spark plugs, or various electrical problems. With poor maintenance and poor fuel quality, the fuel injectors can get clogged up with dirt and varnish as you drive the vehicle. If you recently modified the engine, you should consider upgrading the fuel injectors so the motor can ingest larger amounts of fuel with each press of the gas pedal. Sam’s Motorsports is the perfect place to find top-quality fuel injectors and fuel rails for any type of domestic or import vehicle.

Fuel Lines, Fittings & Hoses

You can call the fuel lines, fittings, and hoses as the plumbing of your motor. These components are critical in pumping the right amount of fuel in the engine. Upgrading to a better set of aftermarket fuel lines, fittings, and hoses will also ensure the fuel system is free from leaks and toxic vapor. Performance fuel lines and hoses can come in rubber, nylon-braided, or nylon-braided stainless steel. Braided fuel lines not only look cool, but they offer better fuel flow in both high and low temperatures. If you recently installed a larger capacity fuel pump and fuel injectors, you should upgrade the existing fuel lines, fittings, and hoses in your vehicle as well. Check out Sam’s Motorsports if you happen to be searching for fuel lines, hoses, and fittings for your import or domestic car, truck, or SUV.

Fuel Pressure Regulators

The fuel required to run your engine is stored in the fuel tank, but have you ever considered how the fuel makes it to your engine? Well, it is a very complex process using a large number of different components, and the failure of any of them can cause serious difficulties for the way your vehicle runs. Each part is as important as the other, so you need to make sure you are on top of the maintenance of your fuel pressure system in order to avoid serious problems.

Fuel Pump Wiring Harness

The fuel pump is only as good as the wiring harness. The wiring harness provides the electrical power required to operate the fuel pump. Similar to other components in your vehicle, both the fuel pump and wiring harness are engineered to last for hundreds of thousands of miles, but they can also fail due to age and normal wear. The fuel pump wiring harness might also get damaged by improper handling, faulty wiring, and corrosion. You will also need to install a new fuel pump wiring harness if you are bolting on an aftermarket fuel pump. Sam’s Motorsports is your prime destination for fuel pump wiring harnesses, fuel pumps, and fuel rails at discounted prices.

Fuel Pumps

The fuel pump in your high-performance vehicle will always need to be in tip-top shape. You don’t want to deal with a bad fuel pump especially if you’re miles away from the nearest garage. A bad fuel pump will cause a variety of symptoms including the inability to start the vehicle, poor acceleration, engine sputtering, and engine stalling while driving. These symptoms can also be caused by a faulty fuel regulator or clogged fuel lines. Modified or forced-induced motors will need a larger and higher capacity fuel pump since the motor will demand more fuel to produce massive amounts of horsepower. Sam’s Motorsports has a large inventory of aftermarket and OEM fuel pumps for any type of import or domestic car, crossover, truck, or SUV.

Fuel Rails

Getting fuel from the fuel tank to the engine may seem like a simple task, but that could not be further from the truth. There are a number of components involved in the process and all of them are important, but it all ends with the fuel injectors attached to your engine. When one or more injectors fail, you will notice the symptoms immediately and if you want to continue using your car for the purposes it was built for, you will need to replace them.
